MBC Mykolaiv (Superleague) confirmed in their roster 25-year old center Konstantin Anikenko (218-108kg-92). He played there last season. In 32 Superleague games he recorded 6.0ppg and 4.3rpg. Anikenko helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (16-17) season he played at Kozuv in FYR Macedonian Prva Liga where in 17 games he averaged 3.8ppg and 2.7rpg. Anikenko also played 9 games in Balkan League where he had just 1.1ppg and 1.3rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Anikenko's team won Ukrainian Cup in 2012 and 2015. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A League 2nd Team in 2016.
Anikenko represented Ukraine at the European Championships U18 in Metz (France) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 3.8ppg, 3.3rpg.
Anikenko has played previously professionally in Ukraine (Budivelnyk, BC Dynamo-2 Odessa and DniproAzot) and Georgia (Vita Tbilisi).
The scouts decsribe him following way: A very promising Ukrainian teenager, expected to become inside force. Has a very soft touch behind the arc that enables him to easily play pick-and-pop. Ukraine is among the countries that produces interesting high towers. Kostia belongs to this team... he is very tall with long edges and has a harmonic body which simply shows that with some extra work out he can do a lot of things on the court.
