Charles Thomas agreed terms with Maccabi Rishon

Defending champion Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (Winner League) inked 30-year old American power forward Charles Thomas (203-102kg-86, college: Arkansas, from Maccabi Ashdod. In 32 Winner League games in Israel he was second best scorer with impressive 19.6ppg and had 5.4rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2spg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention.
Thomas ended the previous (2014-15) season at Sagesse in Division A where in 7 games he recorded very remarkable stats: 17.9ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.6apg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg. But the most of that year he spent at Lukoil Academic Sofia in NBL. In 10 games he averaged high stats: 15.3ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.4apg. Thomas also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got high stats: 18.8ppg and 7.0rpg.
Among other achievements Thomas played in the final of Dubai International Tournament in 2015. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Forward of the Year award back in 2010.
Thomas is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Thomas has played previously professionally in Bosnia (Siroki Primorka), Finland (Forssan Koripojat), France (Chorale de Roanne), Jordan (ASU), Uruguay (Bigua) and Ukraine (Dnipro, Zaporizhya, Azovmash and Cherkasy).
He attended University of Arkansas until 2008 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
Thomas' game is described as: A PF with tremendous potential, strength and athletic ability. Posses three point range and quickens to play at SF but he's strong enough to play at center.
