24-year old point guard Supreme Hannah (181-PG-94) had a great game in the last round for league’s best team Prometey and receives a Interperformances Higher League Player of the Week award for round 29.
He got a double-double of 19 points and 14 assists, while his team outclassed Kharkivski Sokoly (#4, 14-9) with 38-point margin 103-65. It allowed Prometey to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian Higher League. Prometey has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 26-1. In the team’s last game Hannah had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Prometey’s top player in his first season with the team. Supreme Hannah averages this season 14.5ppg and 7.2apg.
Second best performed player last round was Edward Fedchuk (182-PG-91) of Lutsk Univ.. He is a guard in his 5th season at Lutsk Univ.. In the last game Fedchuk recorded impressive 34 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Lutsk Univ. to another comfortable win 79-64 over the lower-ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 (#8, 7-17) being unquestionably team leader. Lutsk Univ.’s 5th position in Group 2 has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 12-13 record. Fedchuk is one of the most experienced players at Lutsk Univ. and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to another Prometey’s star – forward Vitali Malchevskiy (203-F-87). Malchevskiy scored 23 points. He was another key player of Prometey, helping his team with a 103-65 easy win against #4 ranked Kharkivski Sokoly in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Prometey as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 26 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in Group 1. Malchevskiy has a very solid season. In 11 games in Ukraine he scored 15.7ppg. He also has 4.1rpg, FGP: 68.3% and 3PT: 60.7%.
