BK Dnipro (Superleague) added to their roster 32-year old Ukrainian ex-international power forward Maxym Korniyenko (205-100kg-87). It is actually his comeback to Dnipro as he has played here before. Korniyenko played last season at BCM U FC Arges Pitesti in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 28 games he recorded 11.2ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.0spg. The previous (17-18) season Korniyenko played at Juventus (LKL) in Lithuanian league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 31 LKL games he averaged 8.4ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.4apg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. Korniyenko also played 4 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got 9.5ppg and 7.8rpg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. Korniyenko also played 12 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 6.7ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.0apg.
