KK Kozuv Gevgelija (Prva Liga) agreed terms with 24-year old Ukrainian center Konstantin Anikenko (218-108kg-92). He already started the season at MBC Mykolaiv in Ukrainian Superleague. In 15 games he had 6.2ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.2bpg this season. The last season Anikenko played at Vita Tbilisi in Georgian league where in 29 VTB United League games he recorded 8.0ppg, 5.4rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.1bpg. Anikenko was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A League 2nd Team in 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Ukrainian Cup in 2012 and 2015.
He represented Ukraine at the European Championships U18 in Metz (France) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 3.8ppg, 3.3rpg.
Anikenko has played also professionally for other Ukrainian teams like Ukraine for Budivelnyk BC Odessa DniproAzot.
On Anikenko: A very promising Ukrainian teenager, expected to become inside force. Has a very soft touch behind the arc that enables him to easily play pick-and-pop. Ukraine is among the countries that produces interesting high towers. Kostia belongs to this team... he is very tall with long edges and has a harmonic body which simply shows that with some extra work out he can do a lot of things on the court.
