The Regular Season in Superleague just started.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Zaporizhya (0-1) in Zaporozhye on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Khimik (1-0) 86-52. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Zaporizhya's 34. Khimik forced 22 Zaporizhya turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Branden Frazier (190-92, college: Fordham) stepped up and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and the former international forward Vladimir Konev (201-89) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side guard Alexander Rybalko (190-79) responded with 8 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimik is looking forward to face Mykolaiv in Mykolaiv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zaporizhya will play at home against Bipa Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was SC Kryvbas' 15-point road victory against Cherkasy 75-60. International swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) nailed 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Dmitriy Lypovtsev accounted for 9 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Klym Artamonov (186-93) came up with 13 points for Cherkasy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SC Kryvbas will play against Khimik in Yuzhny in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cherkasy will have a break next round.

Bipa Basket's coach Vadim Pudzyrei rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mykolaiv will meet Khimik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bipa Basket will play against Zaporizhya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
