Basketball Club Batumi (Superleague) confirmed in their roster 32-year old Ukrainian ex-international forward Leonid Stefanishin (199-84kg-85). He has played there for the last two seasons. In 31 Superleague games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 6.2rpg, 3.4apg and 1.3spg in 2015-16 season. Stefanishin helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League 3rd Team. He also spent pre-season at Dynamo (SL Favorit Sport) in Ukrainian league that year.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Stefanishin won Ukrainian Superleague championship title in 2011. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Most Improved Player of the Year back in 2007.
Stefanishin was also a member of Ukrainian international program for some years. He played for Ukrainian Senior National Team in 2013 and previously for U21 National Team between 2003 and 2004.
Stefanishin also represented Ukraine at the World University Championships in Bangkok ten years ago.
He has played previously for four other Ukrainian teams: Budivelnyk, Halychyna, Hoverla and DniproAzot.
