Trent number one in Ukraine for round 4

American Guard Malique Trent (189-G-94) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Zaporizhye, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4.

The 24-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Politekhnik (#8, 0-5) with 27-point margin 104-77. It allowed Zaporizhye to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian Superleague. Zaporizhye have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Trent had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Zaporizhye's top player in his first season with the team. Former Hampton University star has very solid stats this year. Trent is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.4spg and 54.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Zaporizhye's star - young Yuriy Kondrakov (190-G-96). Kondrakov had a very good evening with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Trent he helped Zaporizhye with another comfortable win outscoring Politekhnik (#8, 0-5) 104-77. Of course Zaporizhye still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Kondrakov is one of the most experienced players at Zaporizhye and similarly like Malique Trent has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-G-92, agency: Interperformances) of Khimik (#4). Edwin showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Khimik, leading his team to a 93-76 easy win against the lower-ranked Cherkasy (#7, 1-2). Khimik needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Edwin has a very solid season.
