Tykhonov's 18 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

24-year old power forward Dmytro Tykhonov (205-F/C-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kryvbas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had the game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Kryvbas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Avantazh-Polit. (#11, 1-15) 88-77. Kryvbas maintains the 4th position in Ukrainian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kryvbas will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. It's Tykhonov's second year at Kryvbas and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Dmytro Tykhonov averages this season 10.4ppg and 5.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Klym Artamonov (185-PG-93) of Bipa Basket. He is former international guard in his first season at Bipa Basket. In the last game Artamonov recorded impressive 23 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Bipa Basket to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Cherkasy (#7, 7-9) 83-58. Bipa Basket's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Artamonov is a newcomer at Bipa Basket and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.4ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 4.2rpg and 6.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Bipa Basket's star - guard Kenney Funderburk (193-G-92, agency: AproK Sports Group). Funderburk showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Bipa Basket, helping his team with a 83-58 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Cherkasy (#7, 7-9). Bipa Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Funderburk has a great season in Ukraine. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (4th best).
